They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, but it’s also one of the most complicated places to keep clean because it’s a space that covers so many things.
A clean kitchen not only helps to make the food preparation process more pleasant but also ensures good health.
Some kitchen areas require more attention than other areas, but it’s enough to employ a few little tricks to keep a kitchen sparkling.
At Ideal Maids, we bring you in this article on 3 cleaning secrets in the kitchen, which is focused on three main kitchen areas you should keep clean.
Sink
“the kitchen sink is like the bed of the kitchen; if you walk into a bedroom and a bed is beautifully made, the rest of the bedroom just feels clean.” (…) “The same thing goes with the kitchen sink”. So says Melissa Maker, founder, and star of Clean My Space channel on YouTube.
As long as you keep your sink clean and free of dirty dishes after every meal as a sort of good habit, you won’t have to spend a great deal of time cleaning it.
But if you want to have a completely shiny sink, you can use ammonia because it fights to sink dirty well. Then prepare a solution with water, add a little ammonia and apply it to the surface, then rinse with warm water.
You can also use baking soda and a little dish soap instead of ammonia.
Oven
Inside the oven is one of the most neglected places in the kitchen, or receives less attention when it comes to cleaning.
Let’s be honest, when was the last time you cleaned your oven? It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?
A lot of dirt and food residues accumulate inside the oven, especially between the racks, but cleaning it is not as difficult as you might think. So we show you the following method.
Take 1 tablespoon of baking soda, then add a little dish soap and a sufficient amount of water until to get a pancake batter-like consistency. Then apply it on the stained surface and let it take effect for 15 minutes. Then rinse it with warm water.
Cooktops
Whether you have a glass cooktop or any other material, there is no doubt it’s one of the places with the most food residues, and it’s even common for the surface to become greasy over time. However, you can avoid this situation if you clean it regularly, especially after every meal.
So to clean it you can use baking soda because it’s a product with an abrasive effect that allows you to remove grease from the cooktops.
You just need to mix three tablespoons of baking soda and one teaspoon of lemon oil, then spray the solution on the desired surface. Finally, rub it with a sponge or a brush, you will see how the grease comes off in a short time.
